About the Author

Stephanie Bradley is a writer, advocate, and mother of two daughters. She spends most of her time striving for better health outcomes for women and infants, working as a postpartum doula, lactation counselor, educator for community birth workers, and Health Navigator for a local urban health clinic. Her partnerships with local, state, and national organizations have helped improve healthcare outcomes and initiatives for mothers and their children, with a focus on culturally grounded, community-first care.

The story of Nessira emerged from her desire to dive into the more complex or unseen sides of mental health. As someone who has dealt with her share of taboo diagnoses, she understands what it’s like to have to be a different person publicly versus privately.

When she isn’t writing or working in women’s health, Stephanie enjoys bingeing medical and period dramas or Tiny House Nation, spending time with her children, and exploring ways to find quiet moments in busy days. (example: locking the bathroom door for longer than necessary)

Broken Glass marks her debut in fiction, but her first book, a journal titled Living Golden: A Meditative Guide—invites women to explore the deeper parts of their inner landscape through reflection and intentional stillness. It’s the kind of book even Nessira might have kept on her nightstand.
